PRAMBANAN TEMPLE


A. Background
Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia, even in Southeast Asia. The temple is also known as Rara Jonggrang temple was built around the year 850 AD by the Sanjaya Dynasty.
The temple established since the year 1991 UNESCO as world cultural conservation (Wonder World Heritage) This complex occupies an area of 39.8 hectares. Then why Prambanan Temple is also called Rara Jonggrang? This is related to a legend that Javanese people believed to be part of this temple.  Once, a prince named Bandung Bondowoso fell in love with a beautiful princess looks, he Jonggrang benama Rara. B. Previleges
Prambanan temple is the embodiment of Hindu civilization in the land of Java. This can be seen from the structure that describes the core of the temple in the Hindu faith, which is Trinity. C. Location

D. Access
 Located right on the road to Yogyakarta-Solo Prambanan temple complex is easy to reach from any direction, either from the direction of Yogyakarta and Solo.
